Cabinet Refinishing

Cabinet Refinishing in Kingston, ON

A brand-new kitchen for a fraction of a new kitchen

If your cabinet boxes are solid and the layout works, replacing them is an expensive way to change a colour. We take the doors and drawer fronts off, label everything, degrease, sand and bond-prime, then spray a hard catalyzed finish that levels out glass-smooth, no brush marks, no roller stipple. Boxes and frames are sprayed in place behind containment and filtration. Most kitchens are done in under a week, you keep using your sink and appliances throughout, and the finish is cured hard enough for daily family life.

Sprayed, not brushed

Why a factory-smooth finish matters

Cabinet doors are touched more than any other painted surface in the house. The finish has to be harder than wall paint and flatter than brushwork.

HVLP spray

Atomized coats lay down dead flat, no brush lines under kitchen lighting.

Catalyzed coatings

Cabinet-grade products that cure hard against fingernails, grease and cleaners.

Containment & filtration

Zip walls and negative air so overspray never reaches the rest of the house.

Proper cure time

We tell you exactly when to load doors back up so nothing sticks or prints.

Questions

Cabinet Refinishing questions, answered

Yes. Open-grain oak needs a grain-filling step before priming if you want a modern smooth look. It adds a day or so to the schedule and we quote it as a clear line item, so you can also choose to keep the grain visible.

Yes. Doors and drawer fronts leave for finishing, and boxes are sprayed in stages behind containment. You keep your sink, fridge and stove. The only real disruption is that contents come out of the cabinets being coated.

Very. Catalyzed cabinet coatings cure far harder than wall paint and clean up with a damp cloth. Give the finish its full cure window and it will handle years of daily kitchen use.
